Sponsorship program a Peak opportunity

Not-for-profit community organisations and sporting groups across North Queensland have an opportunity to secure a funding boost ahead of the new year.

Leading Townsville mechanical and electrical contractor Peak ARE (Airconditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical) has opened applications for its highly anticipated annual Community Sponsorship Program.

Peak ARE is a locally owned business which has grown from humble beginnings to now employ around 70 staff, based at its impressive new headquarters in Garbutt with a reputation for delivering the highest quality service and workmanship.

“It goes without saying that our business wouldn’t exist without the support of the community around us over the past two decades,” Peak ARE Manager Allan Peterson said.

“Our Community Sponsorship Program allows us to give back in a small way and hopefully make a positive difference in people’s lives,” he said.

“The program is open to any-and-all community groups, not-for-profits and charity organisations but while we’d love to help everyone, spots are limited.”

The application process is simple and completed online via the Peak ARE website.

The University Hawks Australian Football Club was one of the five successful applicant organisations in 2022.

Hawks committee member and player Tyler Fidoe said Peak ARE’s support had helped the club kick goals, not just on the field.

“Community clubs like ours provide more than a sporting outlet, we’re a footy family which helps bring people together, build our players’ confidence and help them forge bonds that last for life,” Tyler said.

“In 2022 our juniors really shone, the kids had a heap of fun while developing healthy mind and body habits along with a love for the game of Australian Rules Football.

“Thanks to Peak ARE’s support they have all the building blocks to launch into the 2023 season and beyond as good footballers and even better humans and that’s what it’s all about.

“It’s been great to align with a local business whose values of teamwork, fairness, commitment and doing your bit for others, really match perfectly with ours.”
