We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced Receptionist to join our dedicated office-based team in Townsville on a permanent, full-time basis for early/mid January 2025 commencement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administration and clerical support to ensure our business and office operates effectively, with a focus on delivering high-level customer service to our diverse and extensive client base, which continues to grow rapidly.

Peak ARE Pty. Ltd is a family owned and operated business established in Townsville, since 2004. With our current team of 75+ staff, Peak ARE specialise in the delivery of Commercial and Industrial, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical Services employing an all-inclusive methodology in the delivery of our works, with a strong reputation in being able to deliver expert results in the design, construction, commissioning and servicing of all key areas within the Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) industry. These roles are placed within our Mechanical Construction Departments working alongside our Electrical Construction and Service Departments, supported by our Safety and Administration teams.

Our Head Office located at 350 Bayswater Road includes a purpose built, market leading premises which offers both superior staff amenities, and the ability to accommodate ongoing short and long-term future company growth. Our facility also incorporates a state of the art sheet metal manufacturing capability.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support within the Organisation Structure
  • Provide customer service support (phone, email, verbal etc) including answering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls and enquiries with high level of accuracy, to ensure timely and positive outcomes.
  • Data entry requirements for processing accounts payables
  • Maintain accurate and up to date information for all business systems (simPRO, MYOB, Dropbox etc)
  • Perform consistent and ad hoc administrative and clerical duties (e.g. filing, photocopying, binding, and laminating) as required.
  • Contribute and follow company policies, processes, and procedures, with active engagement and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Promote, display, and maintain safety in all aspects of work to ensure safe working environment for all internal & external personnel (including public)

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role and join our team, ideally you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Administrative / Front Desk experience, with a positive, and friendly disposition.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Resourceful and proactive individual with the ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, with strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Previous experience with simPRO and Myob would be highly advantageous, however not compulsory.
